The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though it will differ based the amount you use the mop.

The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. Its navigation capabilities are good, too, even though it does sometimes get hung up on the tiny rug or area mats I have in my house (which is something you can reduce by creating a virtual border within the app). Mopping capabilities are very good and include a pair of mop pads that lift and scrub the floor, rather than just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. It comes with a smart application that lets you schedule cleanings and determine the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.

The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust, and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up cat litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. This device also is able to collect more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often.
