Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its relatively low cost and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you could decide to let the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed - but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand, though we would like to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It can then change its course in a way that is best automatic vacuum and mop and clean around the objects without stumbling.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop that is top quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.

It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and understand, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It will also tell you whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have several features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a system has yet to be seen on other robot cleaner with mop autonomous vacuum and mop models and could be a useful method to keep your home hygienic for longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning process, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles instead of relying on an individual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and is sturdy and well-built.
