World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases with the item level upgrade's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item upgrader kit must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon the reset.

If a boost upgrade items is successful or not, the process can be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible to level 15.

In the endgame you'll often discover that the best way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player improves an item, the base item will be replaced by the new item. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback in that it could make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade item items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item upgrader kit fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
