WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using the help of button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item upgrade level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item level upgrade (seerup-melton.hubstack.net) is upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via several methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from a different set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW players have a couple of options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type or gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. For example, once an item upgrader kit reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one purpose and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
