This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart robot mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self cleaning vacuum cleaner-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, meaning you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly without leaving any trace that was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.

The design is also superior to the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that resembles toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel which other robots can't. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.

Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need mopping and a remote vacuum cleaner in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. disappoint. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and although it lacks certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missing in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or change the labels of rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place emptying the bin can be done easily. It also comes with an impressive LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, but it can help easily keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station is attractive and hides it when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's most appealing point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does a good job picking up debris from bare floors. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either, and it doesn't have a dock that lets the user to set up a dedicated cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do it all.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance, is cheaper and has more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile and even high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of making robot vacuum cleaner cheap vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room cleaning robot to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many couches and other low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it began.

The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
