Path of Exile Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of a variety of items in Path of Exile. They can provide extra damage, AD or even affixes.

Certain upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be applied on armor pieces of the highest level. These upgrades can provide significant increases in stats and are well worth the cost.
The process of upgrading an armor piece to the highest upgrade level will greatly increase its defense capabilities however, the user must be aware that putting more weight on it will dramatically reduce its speed and agility. For this reason, it is not recommended to upgrade most armor pieces that are higher than +9 since the defensive boost gained is typically not worth the weight and power costs of the upgrades required.
Weapons
