All-terrain stroller that is lightweight 3 wheel stroller durable, sturdy and provides excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's easy to move and freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there is a large canopy and storage bin. Newborn suitability: Yes and with a separate carrycot (not suitable for sleeping overnight).

Air-filled tyres and a good suspension can handle rough terrain. You can also use it to jog. However, you must wait until the baby is at minimum 6 or 9 months old.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. It comes as an entire travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot suitable for newborns, a multi-position forward and rear facing pushchair and a selection of group 0+ car seat, meaning you can get everything in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it has received the highest praise from its customers. It is extremely light - the wheels and chassis weigh only 6.5kg. It is also very simple to put together. I was able to get it up and running in less than five minutes. That's amazing considering that it includes the ability to attach fabric to the carrycot.

The basket is spacious with plenty of space and I find it nice that the handle bar comes with pockets to keep your keys and phone secure.

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which could be a problem for taller parents. It's covered with a soft, comfy leather-like material that is easy to clean.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on field and forest trails. The front 3 wheel compact stroller can be locked and can be swiveled to increase the flexibility. The stroller also comes with a 5-point safety harness with a front bar that keeps your child safe during all trips. The parking brake keeps the stroller on its feet as you take a break. The comfortable seat is simple to adjust down to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy can be opened to allow with netting to ensure maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate the needs of dad or mum.

If you're planning a quick jog or a longer hike, the Runner will be there to accompany you on all your adventures with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee smooth, safe ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide more stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold up to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally, the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is a little higher than the ones of competitors', so it might not work for smaller parents, but overall this is a sturdy and versatile stroller that's worth considering for active families.

Red Kite Push Me pacing

The Pace is a great option from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which is known for its easy-to-use and simple parenting essentials. It's their latest and most expensive addition to their budget-friendly stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat-compatible, so you can use from birth.

The new Pace has some fantastic design features, like rose-gold hues on the hood, chassis, and stroller trims, which really set it apart. The car seat and stroller fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey, and cream. You can also choose to add a leather handle and bumper bar to match.

It's suitable from birth to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat easily converts from the carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat has multi lie back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and comes with an extendable sun canopy featuring concealed zip sections, viewing transparent flaps, and an adjustable sun visor.

Furthermore, when folded in half, the Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it can be used as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. Two buttons on either side are easy use and can be clicked to lock it in the right position.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller, Bugaboo's latest Fox 5 promises to do it all. Its unique chassis has a shorter wheel width, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I put it to the test with my two children - a toddler and an eight week old - over rocky pavements as well as woodland walks that are grassy and even cobblestones.

The large, puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in diameter are able to handle different terrains. They also have an easy flap that opens or closes to let more air in if you need it and is a nice touch. It's a bit larger than most pushchairs, but it doesn't feel bulky or heavy when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to clean. It's also much quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt confident using it in busy city streets. It has integrated accessory points, so you can attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags or snack trays, and even snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, though it isn't particularly waterproof. It's a single pram, however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child a bit of leg room. It took around 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it into the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

If you're taking an early morning run under the stars or a moonlit walk in the cool air, the UPPAbaby Ridge transforms every moment into a fun experience for all. This all-terrain stroller is designed to keep both you and your child active.

The large foam-filled 12" and 16 "tires provide a smooth ride no matter the terrain. The suspension system that is patent-pending allows you to glide effortlessly on woodland trails while minimizing impact on your child's legs and rear. The performance disc handbrake allows you to quickly stop even while jogging down a downhill slope.

From bustling farmers markets to street performers playing a tune The Ridge navigates all your city's most popular scenes with ease. Its large basket is big enough to hold your shopping cart and all of your baby's essentials and the spacious canopy provides sun and wind protection. The front canopy can be removed to reveal two mesh peekaboos, which allow you to monitor your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seat lets you to decide if your child is facing you or the world ahead and its simple foot brake system is intuitive for new parents. A great feature is the reversible handlebar which allows you to adjust it to your height and preference. In contrast to other strollers for jogging The Ridge's fold is stable and stays upright when folded.

iCandy Core

The new pushchair from iCandy is truly revolutionary and comes with a host of features that are going to wow parents. It features a Multi-Mode wheelbase as well as an LED Visibility Hub light that's the first of its kind in the market. It also comes with an integrated Ride-on Board which saves on future costs and makes it easier for a tired toddler to accompany you on family outings.

The Core is available as a travel system or a single seat. It is compatible with the most popular car seats, including the ones from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the biggest seat in the iCandy range, so it will last you through your baby's initial years and beyond. As with all iCandy pushchairs, this one is luxuriously designed and features premium knitted jersey fabrics. The child's adjustable bumper bar and the parent's adjustable handlebar are made of soft leatherette. The calf support that folds away is also very comfortable for children.

It was quite impressive how quickly it collapsed and folded, even with the seat unit still attached. It can easily fit in your boot or hallway and is ideal to travel with. The iCandy Core comes with lots of additional accessories, including an rucksack that matches the colour of your choice and a footmuff/liner.
