When the sensor is operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. If you are having problems with this part, check for signs of oil or coolant in the connector bay.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll i had an abrupt drop in power like the engine is running out of gas or the injectors aren't firing anymore. This morning i pull out the spark plugs. Three were drenched with gazoline the fourth one was dry. When I start the engine with no sparks, I put a piece of tissue on top of each injector hole and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline jump out but the 4th stay closed. I tested the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I got zero ohm. So i assume the problem is in another place.
I also tried to reset PID but without success. The car is able to start when the G28 is unplugged and is running fine when it is plugged in, but still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62), even if it is not plugged in, shows a temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit is showing 2 bar, whereas the actual pressure is 0.0 when I crank up the engine.
I'm not sure what to do, as i feel i have pretty much ruled out everything else. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please share them! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 can be activated by a signal by the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter is identical to the G4 sender, and both operate on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. You can easily locate the spare in a salvage shop or a parts store. Test them out by putting your DMM in resistance mode and measure between pins 1 (with the bump on the connector end up) and 2 (2nd from left on the black connector's end).
